The program integrates HeartMath techniques—scientifically validated methods developed by the HeartMath Institute to enhance heart rate variability (HRV) coherence\, emotional regulation\, and stress reduction—with equine-assisted learning principles. \nThe session is facilitated by Henry’s Home-trained and accredited Program Managers\, ensuring professional guidance and adherence to established standards in both equine-assisted learning and HeartMath methodologies. Participants will engage in non-riding activities that incorporate HeartMath coherence practices\, such as the Quick Coherence Method\, applied before and during horse interactions. These exercises emphasize mindfulness\, authentic communication\, and observation of equine responses to support insights into personal boundaries\, emotional congruence\, and resilience. \nHenry’s Home Horse and Human Sanctuary provides a supportive environment where veterans and retired first responders can heal and find renewed purpose through the transformative power of horses for mental health. \nThis is a private session customized to the individual needs of this organization and scheduled by appointment only. Activities may include ranch maintenance\, property upkeep\, and other projects based on the sanctuary’s needs that day. \nHenry’s Home provides lifelong care for rescued horses and offers meaningful programs that support Veterans and Retired First Responders. Your team’s volunteer service helps us continue this important work while creating an opportunity for team building\, connection\, and community service. \nNo previous ranch or horse experience is required.
