Presented by Waste Connections\, this year’s parade celebrates both America250 and five decades of South County tradition. \nWe are excited to invite our incredible volunteers to walk alongside Henry’s Home as we proudly represent our mission of serving Veterans\, Retired First Responders\, and their families. Together\, we’ll celebrate the values of service\, freedom\, community\, and hope that have shaped our nation for 250 years. \nOur 2026 parade theme\, “America250\,” honors the courage\, vision\, and enduring ideals that continue to inspire generations of Americans. As part of this special celebration\, volunteers will help showcase the heart of Henry’s Home while joining thousands of community members in one of The Woodlands’ most beloved Independence Day traditions. \nThe festivities begin with pre-parade entertainment at 8:00 a.m.\, followed by the stirring Rolling Thunder cannon salute\, which officially launches the parade at 9:00 a.m. This year’s celebration also features a rare live bald eagle appearance\, presented by Last Chance Forever – The Bird of Prey Conservancy\, offering a memorable tribute to America’s 250th anniversary. \nWe invite all Henry’s Home volunteers to join us as we celebrate our nation’s history\, honor those who have served\, and share the spirit of our sanctuary with the community. DESCRIPTION:Join the Quadvest Team for a rewarding morning of service at Henry’s Home Horse & Human Sanctuary. \nWorking alongside our staff\, your team will help care for our ranch and rescued horses through hands-on outdoor projects that directly support our mission of serving Veterans\, Retired First Responders\, and their families. \nVolunteer ActivitiesDepending on the needs of the ranch\, activities may include: \n\n\nMucking stalls and paddocks\nCleaning and refilling water troughs\nFeeding and watering horses\nLandscaping and ranch beautification\nRaking leaves and clearing branches\nAssisting with light maintenance projects\n\nNo previous experience is required. We’ll provide all necessary tools\, gloves\, and a brief safety orientation before getting started. \nMeet Our Rescued HorsesFollowing the volunteer session\, your team will have the opportunity to meet our rescued horses and learn more about the important role they play in providing healing\, hope\, and purpose through Henry’s Home programs. \nVolunteer ScheduleArrival: 9:15 AMVolunteer Session: 9:30 AM–11:30 AM \nWe look forward to welcoming the Quadvest Team to Henry’s Home for a meaningful morning of service\, connection\, and impact.
