Focus Areas:
Marketing and Outreach
- Marketing/Publicity (Darlene’s Team): Promotes the gala through social media, press releases, email campaigns, and partnerships to attract attendees and donors.
- Guest Invitation and RSVP Committee: Manages invitations, ticketing, RSVPs, and VIP outreach to ensure high attendance.
Event Experience
- Decorations and Theme: Designs the venue layout, decorations, lighting, and thematic elements to create an immersive Texas250 atmosphere (e.g., historical motifs, Texan culture).
- Entertainment and Program: Books performers, speakers, emcees, and plans the evening’s agenda, including any awards or presentations.
Operations and Support
- Logistics/Operations: Manages venue setup, audiovisual needs, transportation, parking, and on-site coordination.
- Volunteer Coordination: Recruits, trains, and schedules volunteers across all areas.
- Finance and Budget: Tracks expenses, income, donations, and ensures compliance with financial reporting.
- Technology and AV: Handles event tech like registration apps, bidding software, live streaming, and sound systems.
Post-Event
- Evaluation and Follow-Up : Gathers feedback, sends thank-yous, analyzes results, and plans for future events.
