Dear Henry's Home Community,
On this solemn day, September 11th—Patriots’ Day—we pause to remember the unbreakable spirit that defines our nation. Twenty-four years ago, evil struck at the heart of America, toppling towers and shattering lives. Yet from the ashes rose heroes: firefighters, police officers, and everyday citizens who charged into danger, leading with courage to save their fellow Americans. They embodied the essence of leadership—not for glory, but for the sacred duty to protect and preserve what we hold dear.
Yesterday’s horrific events echo that same darkness. The assassination of Charlie Kirk, a fearless voice for freedom and faith, reminds us that the forces seeking to divide and destroy our republic are relentless. Charlie led with conviction, showing our youngest generation that true strength lies in open dialogue, even with those who hold opposing views. He championed the American Dream, rooted in personal responsibility, faith, and active citizenship. From local school boards to national debates, he urged us to own our agency, to step up and shape our communities. In his memory, we must rise—not in despair, but in determination—to conquer the evil that has plagued us from 9/11 to today.
This call to leadership is at the core of our mission at Henry’s Home. We exist to enhance the lives of our heroes—veterans, first responders, and patriots—who have sacrificed so much. By providing the support they need to heal, thrive, and be fully present, we ensure they can guide their children and grandchildren with the values that built this nation: integrity, resilience, and love of country. Just as the 9/11 rescuers led strangers to safety, and Charlie inspired youth to engage civically, our heroes lead their families toward a brighter future. Together, we honor them by standing firm, fostering unity, and reclaiming our destiny.
Let us lead, as they have led. Let us build a legacy of hope, where faith flourishes, discussions bridge divides, and every citizen claims their role in America’s story. In memory of the fallen, in honor of Charlie, and for the generations to come—rise up.
With unwavering resolve,
Darlene
