Henry’s Home Horse & Human Sanctuary is honored to welcome American Heritage Girls Troop TX1333 from Spring, Texas, for a meaningful day of service, connection, and giving back!
As part of the American Heritage Girls National Day of Service, this year’s theme, “Serving U.S. Military Heroes,” provides troop members and their families with a special opportunity to honor those who have served our country while making a positive difference at Henry’s Home.
A Day of Service & PurposeThroughout the day, volunteers will participate in age-appropriate service projects that help support the care, upkeep, and daily needs of our sanctuary.Projects may include:
- Painting and touch-up projects
- Cleaning and organizing
- Landscaping and grounds projects
- Light maintenance
- Special sanctuary projects
- Other age-appropriate activities assigned by the Henry’s Home team
Most girls participating with the troop are between 6 and 12 years old, so projects will be selected with each participant’s age, abilities, and safety in mind. Our team will provide guidance and instructions throughout the experience.
Supporting Our MissionAt Henry’s Home Horse & Human Sanctuary, our mission is centered on creating opportunities for healing, hope, resilience, and connection for Veterans, Retired First Responders, and their families through equine-assisted learning and the powerful horse-human connection.
By volunteering at Henry’s Home, Troop TX1333 will help us maintain a safe and welcoming sanctuary for our horses and the people who participate in our programs.This special day also gives young volunteers an opportunity to experience the value of teamwork, compassion, responsibility, community service, and honoring those who have served our country.
