Equine-Assisted Learning Session with HeartMath Integration

This private equine-assisted learning session offers veterans an opportunity to engage in experiential activities focused on personal growth, emotional resilience, and self-awareness through structured, ground-based interactions with horses. The program integrates HeartMath techniques—scientifically validated methods developed by the HeartMath Institute to enhance heart rate variability (HRV) coherence, emotional regulation, and stress reduction—with equine-assisted learning principles.

The session is facilitated by Henry’s Home-trained and accredited Program Managers, ensuring professional guidance and adherence to established standards in both equine-assisted learning and HeartMath methodologies. Participants will engage in non-riding activities that incorporate HeartMath coherence practices, such as the Quick Coherence Method, applied before and during horse interactions. These exercises emphasize mindfulness, authentic communication, and observation of equine responses to support insights into personal boundaries, emotional congruence, and resilience.
