CONROE, TX – May 23, 2025: On this Memorial Day, Henry’s Home Horse & Human Sanctuary honors the memory of those brave men and women who have made countless sacrifices in service to our country. We are forever grateful for their service, both past and present, and we renew our commitment to supporting veterans and their families.
Henry’s Home Horse & Human Sanctuary is committed to supporting veterans and their families during the transition from military to civilian life. We provide essential services and resources to help veterans thrive in their civilian lives and connect with their communities. This includes equine-assisted programs & workshops focused on reintegration and skill-building, along with community-building events designed specifically for veterans, retired first responders, and their loved ones.
To illustrate the transformational healing that veterans may experience through our programs. This animated video shares the true story of a veteran battling invisible wounds and suicidal ideation. Just when he was ready to give up, an extraordinary moment with three horses—and the people who stood beside them—pulled him back from the edge.
