Henry’s Home Horse & Human Sanctuary is honored to once again participate in the 50th Annual South County 4th of July Parade, a landmark celebration that coincides with the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Presented by Waste Connections, this year’s parade celebrates both America250 and five decades of South County tradition.
We are excited to invite our incredible volunteers to walk alongside Henry’s Home as we proudly represent our mission of serving Veterans, Retired First Responders, and their families. Together, we’ll celebrate the values of service, freedom, community, and hope that have shaped our nation for 250 years.
Our 2026 parade theme, “America250,” honors the courage, vision, and enduring ideals that continue to inspire generations of Americans. As part of this special celebration, volunteers will help showcase the heart of Henry’s Home while joining thousands of community members in one of The Woodlands’ most beloved Independence Day traditions.
The festivities begin with pre-parade entertainment at 8:00 a.m., followed by the stirring Rolling Thunder cannon salute, which officially launches the parade at 9:00 a.m. This year’s celebration also features a rare live bald eagle appearance, presented by Last Chance Forever – The Bird of Prey Conservancy, offering a memorable tribute to America’s 250th anniversary.
We invite all Henry’s Home volunteers to join us as we celebrate our nation’s history, honor those who have served, and share the spirit of our sanctuary with the community. Your enthusiasm, dedication, and support help make events like this possible, and we’re grateful to have you walking beside us.
