Conroe, Texas – Henry’s Home is thrilled to announce an Open House event on March 8, 2024, from 1:30 to 4:00 PM. We are inviting Veteran Organizations, Retired First Responder Organizations, and Community and City Leaders from Conroe, Montgomery, The Woodlands, and surrounding Texas areas to come together and discover the meaningful contributions of Henry’s Home to our community.
Why Attend?
Every day, approximately 17 veterans in the United States take their own lives, and countless others struggle with PTSD and emotional wounds. Retired first responders face similarly high levels of stress, making mental health resources crucial to their well-being. At Henry’s Home, we address these challenges through therapeutic horse programs and a tranquil, supportive environment that fosters healing.
Since our founding, dozens of veterans and first responders have found new hope through our equine-assisted therapy sessions. These interactions provide emotional support, inspire personal growth, and create a sense of community for those who need it most.
Our Programs
Henry’s Home currently offers:
- Equine-Assisted Learning: A hands-on program using the bond between humans and horses to foster trust and healing.
- Peer Support: A space for veterans and retired first responders to connect, share experiences, and build resilience.
- Skill Development Workshops: Opportunities to develop confidence and new abilities, from horse care to farm management.
